Earlier in his career, he spent a decade with Zorbaz on the Lake, including several years as an owner/operating partner. Through his experience operating Zorbaz restaurants in Spicer, and later in Grand Rapids, he brings a valuable perspective on the needs of potential Alliance members, along with a deep knowledge of tourism and recreation that will benefit the downtown community. In accepting the role, Walker shared his enthusiasm for the opportunity: “I’m thrilled and honored to serve as Executive Director of the newly formed Grand Rapids Downtown Alliance. There’s been a lot of growth in downtown recently, and I’m eager to help build off that momentum.
